Berhampore: CM Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to visit the violence-affected areas of Suti and Shamsherganj in Murshidabad, where violence during protests against amendments to the waqf act claimed three lives and left several injured last month, on May 5.
The CM would arrive at Behrampore Circuit House on Monday evening and address a rally at Chhabghati KD High School ground in Suti the following day, before inspecting the affected areas, district administration sources confirmed.

Banerjee is expected to distribute Bangla Awas Yojana benefits to residents whose homes were damaged in the violence. The administration has identified 316 houses that were demolished during the unrest.
This is the CM's first visit to the region since an administrative meeting at Lalbag Nawab Bahadur Institution on Jan 20.
Farakka MLA Monirul Islam said: "The state govt is deeply concerned about our heritage of communal harmony and development." He added that govt had allocated Rs. 5.51 crore for a modern jetty at Dhuliyan in Shamsherganj.
