  • Kolkata: A 17-year-old boy, the fourth FIR-named youth accused of allegedly gang-raping a class VIII student in Dec last year, was apprehended by Kolkata Police and sent to a juvenile home. The teen had been on the run since the girl's family lodged a complaint on April 28.

    He was picked up from a hideout on Saturday and was produced before a juvenile justice board on Sunday, which sent him to a safe home. The police produced him at the ACJM court on Sunday and again at the Alipore POCSO court on Monday. The defence lawyer submitted he was a minor, and the judge asked for him to be produced at a juvenile court. tnn
