Kolkata: A man travelling under a false identity was arrested at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Thursday after immigration officials uncovered that he was holding a fraudulently obtained Indian passport. The arrest comes amid a red alert issued last week, prompting enhanced security checks and stricter passenger screening.The man, identified as Ajit Yadav, a native of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, attempted to clear immigration under the name "Ajeet Kumar" using a different passport. He was earlier deported from Bangkok and intercepted by authorities upon his arrival for an immigration check.
