  • Kolkata: Bengal BJP will on Friday hold a ‘Tiranga Yatra' in Kolkata, while the party's women's wing will take "the spirit of Operation Sindoor" to the streets, emphasising the prominence of "women power" in the armed forces."We will start the Tiranga Yatra from Kolkata. Some districts have already prepared themselves. Even if the police try to stop us, they will fail. They don't have any power to stop a rally with the Tricolor," Bengal BJP president and junior Union minister Sukanta Majumdar said.PM Narendra Modi's speech on Monday has set the tone for the party's outreach programme across India. The yatra will focus on the "strategic gains" of the armed forces and strengthen BJP's nationalism narrative."The terrorists had wiped sindoor off the women. The way India responded by restoring the faith and honour of these women has sent a strong message to the world. The PM has mentioned that the war has not ended," Majumdar said.BJP had earlier announced the launch of the 11-day pan-India outreach campaign to honour the courage and sacrifice of the armed forces.Falguni Patra, Mahila Morcha president of BJP, said: "We are emphasising a message of patriotism, national solidarity and respect for the Tricolour. The first rally for Operation Sindoor will be held on Friday and will coincide with Tiranga Yatra. We will use abir to spread the message that every Indian is ready to protect the sindoor of our mothers and daughters." The morcha will later launch a door-to-door campaign to take the message to each household.
