Kolkata: A multi-party delegation, including Trinamool national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, reached Singapore on Tuesday after visits to Japan and South Korea. This is part of a diplomatic mission to convey India's views on terrorism emanating from Pakistan. Upon arrival, they met with Indian high commissioner Shilpak Ambule and began talks with Sim Ann, Singapore's minister of state for foreign and home affairs, in the presence of senior minister of state Janil Puthucheary, MP Vikram Nair and Saktiandi Supaat. Later, the team also met Edwin Tong, Singapore's minister for law and second minister for home affairs. "We deeply value our interactions with the Indian community in Singapore — a reflection of the shared resilience, unity and unwavering solidarity of our diaspora in the face of terrorism. We expressed India's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism," Banerjee wrote on Facebook. He said in meetings with Singaporean interlocutors from govt, academia, thinktanks, media and business, they underlined the new normal in India's policy on counterterrorism: precise, responsible and unflinching. "Terrorism respects no borders, and the fight against it must unite us all," he wrote. He also visited INA Memorial. "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a towering statesman, fearless patriot and a defining figure in India's quest for freedom; I also offered prayers at Ramakrishna Mission, a beacon of spiritual enlightenment and service," he wrote.
