Kaliganj bypoll: 14 cos of central forces deployed

123 Kaliganj (Nadia): Fourteen companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed ahead of the Kaliganj bypoll in Nadia. Voting is set to take place on June 19, with counting scheduled for June 23.Joint patrolling with the state police began on Saturday morning with jawans interacting with local residents during their patrol.The Kaliganj assembly constituency comprises 13 panchayat areas. Security forces were seen conducting route marches in all areas, accompanied by state police.On Sunday morning, the central forces were seen marching in the Naldapara area under the Baro Chandghar Panchayat of Kaliganj, signalling the implementation of high-security measures ahead of the polls.
