Kolkata: The KMC and the police will begin a drive to remove vagabonds and their belongings from major thoroughfares and under flyover spaces. According to a KMC source, the drive will start from Mullickbazar and then move on to Ballygunge Phari, Beckbagan, and from there to Park Circus. A simultaneous drive will be conducted from Hazra to Gopalnagar. "We will be conducting raids to free pavements along thoroughfares and spaces under flyovers. At the same time, we will ensure that these vagabonds are given rehabilitation," said a civic official. tnn
