Kolkata: ESI Hospital Joka, along with Kolkata Police, on Tuesday created a green corridor for a brain haemorrhage patient, who was brought to the city airport by an air ambulance from Tripura. The patient, Gourab Pal (23) is a factory worker in Tripura."KP helped us create a green corridor and the patient was brought to Joka from Dum Dum in 55 minutes. He has been admitted to the neurosurgery CCU," said Jayanta Karmakar, deputy medical superintendent. After a surgery, Pal started showing signs of septicaemia at Tripura ESI Hospital. They decided to send him to Kolkata. He was flown in on Tuesday afternoon. ESIC Medical College dean Nand Kishor Alva coordinated with the airport authority and Kolkata Police for his transportaton. tnn
