Kolkata: The West Bengal Commission of Women chairperson, Leena Gangopadhyay, on Saturday met the 24-year-old campus rape survivor. The first-year law student recounted her horror, and the commission extended their full support to her. Sources said the account by the survivor to the commission matched the police version, with the interaction taking place at a police facility in Alipore. Sources said a few queries from the commission were promptly answered by the survivor. Later, commission sources said they would also speak to the police probe team to take stock of the investigation. tnn
