No age relaxation for candidates who missed 2022 SLST

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Thursday refused to grant relief to candidates seeking age relaxation for the fresh recruitment process by West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC).
These candidates claimed to be of eligible age in 2022 for the first SLST; however, since the recruitment process was postponed, they are now over 40 years old.
Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya said the Supreme Court judgment had specified that age relaxation would only be for untainted candidates and those with disabilities. Hence, the HC could not allow any relaxation for this category, the judge said.
The 2022 recruitment process was postponed due to pending litigations over the 2016 panel.
