An event, which celebrates womanhood and recognises achievers with awards, was held today in the city. Women from different walks of life, who are trailblazers were recognised for their spirit, resilience and achievement.
The second season of Labonnyo was held by Techno India Group. It is a platform that recognises not only success, but the courage it takes to break barriers.
“Time and again, women have had to fight twice as hard to claim their space and prove their worth. This is our tribute to those who rise above barriers with courage, compassion, and purpose. Through this platform, we honour their journeys and celebrate the power of womanhood in shaping a more inclusive and inspired world,” said Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, co-chairperson, Techno India Group.
The Chief Guest to the ceremony was Dr Sashi Panja, minister of women and child development and social welfare. She said, “this programme recognises talent, who are known and unknown. West Bengal has a very conducive atmosphere for the women to progress and break barriers.
Nayantara Pal Chowdhury, diplomatic envoy, was also present.
