  • Kolkata: In the wake of the rape allegation emerging from a premier management institute, the authorities are engaging with the students to ensure their safety and well-being and make them feel that they are being heard.

A senior official said, "They are constantly engaging with students internally to ensure their safety and well-being.

" Teachers said that it is natural for students to be upset and disturbed over the incident, so the faculty members are constantly in touch with them. "Since the incident happened on the campus, it is more sensitive and distressing. It is a difficult time for everyone. The students have the contact numbers of faculty members, and we reached out to them, saying that they can get in touch any time to discuss any sort of concerns," said a professor.

Another teacher said, "They can meet us on on one-to-one basis or have telephonic conversations to talk about their problems. We are available for them. We want to make sure that the students are heard. I am sure that we will sail through this difficult phase by being there for each other.

    "

Not only teachers, student council representatives and members of different cultural bodies are also reaching out to the students.
