Oncologists discuss role of nutrition in cancer care

Nutrition is a key element of therapy in cancer patients and in the prevention of cancer. To address the unique needs of cancer patients, and to provide insights on preventive nutrition in oncology, a comprehensive one-day conference, ‘Onconutricon 2025’ was organised by Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre Research Institute (SGCCRI) in collaboration with Indian Dietetic Association (IDA), Bengal chapter. This was the second edition of this unique conference, which is the first of its kind in India, and this time it was done at a national level.
Onconutricon 2025 was organized by the organizing committee having members from SGCCRI, including chief patron Anjan Gupta, organizing chairman Prof (Dr) Arnab Gupta, treasurer Dr Gautam Bhattacharya and others.
The theme of this year’ conference was ‘Personalized nutrition in critical care oncology- the future of cancer care, challenges and opportunities’.
There were welcome addresses by Anjan Gupta, Prof (Dr) Arnab Gupta and Dr Gautam Bhattacharya.
