Dr B C Roy Engineering College organised a grand HR Conclave on Friday as a part of their yearlong silver jubilee celebration, bringing together HR professionals from core and software sectors.
The theme of the event was “Workforce 2030: Shaping the Next Gen. Talent Frontiers.” The conclave aimed to guide students on how to develop themselves to meet the current job market’s demands of skills and become more employable.
The Welcome address was by principal, BCREC Prof Sanjay S Pawar.
The keynote address for the first panel was delivered by Anurag Kirti, talent acquisition & recruitment lead (India) Xerox – Lexmark.
The theme was “Bridging the Campus–Corporate Gap: What IT Companies Expect from Fresh Graduates?” The first session of the panel discussion was attended by the experts from software sectors. They were Avik Chakraborty, HR manager, campus recruitments & engagements (East India) Cognizant,. Abhisek Dutta, regional lead, Technical Campus Hiring (East India) Wipro, Sharthak Acharjee, head – Campus Recruiter & Lead Enterprise Sales (Germany, Austria, Switzerland region) Celebal Technologies, Rituparna Dhar, senior specialist talent acquisition LTI Mindtree, and Anushka Ghosh, senior specialist, Talent Acquisition, LTI Mindtree. The session was moderated by Deepraj Mondal, manager training and placement cell, BCREC. The panellists interacted with the students and provided valuable insights into the skills and attributes companies seek in young professionals.
