Kolkata: Four men were on Thursday evening arrested for allegedly operating mule bank accounts used for siphoning off fraudulently obtained on Thursday evening. They were rounded up from a hotel in the Eco Park area and cops seized 13 ATM cards, multiple SIM cards, chequebooks and Rs 16,010 in cash.
The accused, Vikash Kumar, Sk Istiyaq, Subham Shaw and Rajkumar Gupta, are reportedly part of an international gang. An officer said, "The accused used forged documents to obtain SIM cards and open bank accounts. They used cryptocurrency to keep crime proceeds untraceable.
