A Trinamool booth president in Bankura's Sonamukhi was gunned down by unidentified miscreants late on Monday. Police said Ayub Khan, in his 40s, was shot thrice from close range in the back while he was returning home. The body has been sent to Bankura Sammilani Medical College for autopsy. Police said efforts are on to nab the culprits.
