West Bengal bomb blast: One killed in explosion outside Madhyamgram High School; probe underway

Representative Image NEW DELHI: A person was killed in a bomb explosion outside Madhyamgram High School in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Monday morning, police officials reported.
The incident occurred in the Madhyamgram police station area. The victim, who was critically injured in the blast, was rushed to Barasat Medical College and Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Superintendent of Police of Barasat police district, Pratiksha Jharkhariya, said: "Further investigation is underway.
"Police sources revealed that the deceased was a resident of another state.
West Bengal Food and Supplies Minister Rathin Ghosh visited the location and confirmed that police were investigating the matter.
The explosion took place early in the morning, and authorities are continuing their probe into the incident.
