Trinamul Congress leaders today categorically said they will not allow any attempt to defeat the party by hook or by crook.
The party on its X handle wrote: “Not an inch of Bengal’s land has ever been surrendered. With Smt. @mamataofficial at the helm, the people of Bengal have time and again resisted, exposed, and defeated the @bjp4india’s sinister conspiracies.
Joy Bangla!”
The party leadership alleged that there has been a constant and systematic attempt to malign and play divisive politics in Bengal. On the top of it there is financial deprivation.
The leadership alleged that the saffron party has been using Election Commission to loot vote by imposing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Abhishek Banerjee has termed it as ‘Silent Invisible Rigging’ where the names of voters are deleted from the list without assigning any cause. Mr Banerjee has threatened to launch a movement and lay siege at the office of the Election Commission in New Delhi if name of any genuine voter is deleted.
The leaders said with party’s chairperson Mamata Banerjee at the helm of affairs the party will not surrender or now down before any force.
There is constant and systematic financial deprivation of the state by the BJP ruled centre. Despite the order of the High Court the money earmarked for 100 days’ work under MGNREGA has not been released. Trinamul Congress has cleared the dues of the workers.
The Centre has not released the fund meant for building rural houses. The state government has released funds to set up 19 lakh rural houses and money for another 12 lakh houses will be released soon.
There is attack and harassment of Bengali speaking migrant workers in BJP ruled states. In Delhi water connections to the houses of workers had been disconnected.
The leaders said Miss Banerjee has told the party’s rank and file to intensify vigil to ensure that the voter list is not manipulated. “Bengal has never surrendered an inch of land and will resist any attempt to defeat Trinamul by hook or by crook,” Mamata is supposed to have said.
