Two sexually assault model after luring her to hotel with film promise

Kolkata: Two persons, S S Uddin alias Ricky and Rajarshi Dey, have been accused of sexually assaulting a 25-year-old model from south Kolkata, with the false promise of giving her a film role. The two men allegedly posed as a film director and his associate to lure the woman.
According to the complaint, she initially got acquainted with the accused in Aug 2023. The accused allegedly assaulted her twice in the past two years, she said.
On Monday night, the woman lodged a complaint at Kasba PS. The police will appeal to the court to record her statement. The accused are yet to be arrested.
The woman said the accused called her to a hotel in Kasba in Aug 2023 under the guise of offering her film role. There, she said they tricked her, and raped her. The woman underwent a medical examination and investigation is underway to look for the accused. Cops said the woman has been asked to hand over the clothes that she was wearing on the day of her assault. However, she has said she cannot not recall which dress she wore on that particular day.
