  • Kolkata: BJP's former national vice-president Dilip Ghosh, who skipped Prime Minister Narendra Modi's programme, left for Bengaluru to meet spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Friday.

Ghosh said he would listen to the PM's speech live on his mobile phone. He had said on Thursday that he had not received any invite for the PM's programme.

"It is not about being hurt or emotional. I believe in working for the party. I did not have anything to do (at the rally) other than listening to the Prime Minister's speech. I can listen to him on the mobile handset," he said. | Gold Rates Today in Kolkata | Silver Rates Today in Kolkata"I don't know what the Prime Minister thinks about me. There are thousands of workers like me and the party uses them wherever necessary. If the party thinks I need to fight the election, I am ready for that. If they think I am not fit as a candidate and should be engaged in some other work, I will do that," he said before leaving Kolkata.
