Kolkata: The Bengal govt honoured 48 personnel from the Kolkata Police with special medals for their exemplary service in 2023. The awards, which include the Nistha Padak, Prashansa Padak, and Sewa Padak, were presented by the commissioner of police, Manoj Verma,recently. V Solomon Nesakumar, additional commissioner of police, received the Asadharan Aasuchana Kushalata Padak for his exceptional intelligence skills. Alok Kumar Sanyal, ACP, was awarded the Nistha Padak for his steadfast commitment to duty. The Prashansa Padak was awarded to several officers, including Pulak Kumar Dutta, ACP, and Dibyendu Chatterjee, ACP. Inspector Santanu Singha Ray and inspector Arijit Chattapadhyay were also honoured.
