Kolkata: The 7th edition of Mega Bizz, the commerce fest of DPS Megacity, was held recently, with focus on simulating real-world business challenges. The event, which saw participation from nine premier schools in Kolkata, featured competitions, panel discussions, PowerPoint presentations, debates and quizzes aimed at fostering innovation, marketing and bargaining strategies.
Adhering to the school's tradition, the event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by dignitaries followed by the Ganesh Vandana and the National Anthem. Principal Tillotama Mallik acknowledged the endeavour of the commerce department in upholding the legacy of the event for the past seven years. Tapash Chatterjee, MLA from New Town Rajarhat constituency, was the chief guest. Others at the event included guests of honour SC and HC lawyer Pradyumna Sinha, and former chief scientist at CSIR-CGCRI Tarun Kr Gangopadhyay. The dignitaries provided invaluable insights to enable and encourage the students to envision their future prospects in business and commerce.

The programme also included a group dance by senior students, followed by quiz and a jam session, ‘Minute to Win It'. DPS Megacity was declared the winner of Megabizz 2025, followed by St James School in the first runner up position. Ritsika Sarkar of DPS Newtown received the Best Negotiator Award, and St James School bagged the Best Memorial Award.
