The charge sheet also details how Mishra used the video as a tool for blackmail, threatening to disseminate the footage to tarnish the girl's reputation unless she complied with his demands.

The role of the security guard also came under scrutiny. The charge sheet reveals that the guard, despite being aware of the crime, chose to remain silent. He allegedly left the guard room as the girl was being taken inside and did not alert the college authorities or police, the charge sheet claimed.

"The trio plotted for several days to carry out this torture on the survivor. We found that she was targeted by the prime accused from the very first day she got admission to the college. We are gathering witnesses who will prove that she was targeted from day one. This is part of our final charge sheet," a police officer said.

The charge sheet also lists the survivor's parents as key witnesses.

Mishra was also charged under BNS section 351(3) (criminal intimidation), section 140(3) (abduction with the intent of secret and wrongful confinement), section 140(4) (abduction with the intent to cause grievous hurt or unnatural lust), section 142 (confinement of an abducted person), section 238 (causing the disappearance of evidence or giving false information to shield an offender), and sections 67A and 66E of the Information Technology Act.

In the initial FIR registered at the Kasba PS, police originally pressed charges under Sections 127 (2) (wrongful confinement), 70 (1) (gang rape), and 3 (5) (common intention) of the BNS.(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
