Jalpaiguri: A 12-year-old boy was killed by a leopard at Kalabari Jalpaiguri's Nagrakata on Wednesday. This was the second leopard attack in the area in just over a month.
The incident occurred at 7.30 pm, when class VI student Aminur Rahman was sitting in the courtyard of his house. The leopard caught him by his neck and dragged him to a bush. Listening to the boy's cries, the locals chased away the animal. However, Rahman was dead by then. Agitated locals gheraoed forest officials who came to inspect the spot.
