  • Kolkata: MP Birla Foundation Higher Secondary School hosted its biennial inter-school cultural festival, MPBlitz'25, on Aug 1 and 2. With over 30 events and keen participation from schools across Kolkata, the fest was a success.

From dance battles and debates to fashion shows, creative writing, and musical showdowns, each activity was welcomed with eager involvement. A guest performance by The Grooverz, an indie-pop band, added to the excitement. MPBlitz is one of the most eagerly awaited school festivals, not just for competition, but for the learning and growth it fosters. The fest provided students with valuable lessons in leadership, responsibility, and teamwork.

Securing the highest points, the host school, M P Birla Foundation Higher Secondary School, was declared the overall champion. However, in keeping with tradition, the host school didn't retain the championship trophy and passed it to South Point High School and Shaw Public School, who jointly secured the first runner-up position. The second runner-up position was secured by Shri Shikshayatan School.
