Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Tuesday proposed an alternative venue for the protest to be held by members of the ex-servicemen organisation on Sept 13 against Bengal CM's remark on the Army in the presence of media.
The court may pass orders on Wednesday.
Justice Tirthankar Ghosh suggested that the protest may be held at the southern flank of Rani Rashmani Avenue, as an alternative to the demonstration proposed in front of the Gandhi statue on Mayo Road by the petitioner. "My court doesn't stop with one petition. I have to think about the future also. If I allow this, others will come to me with a similar plea," Justice Ghosh said.
