Chingrighata block 2nd trial after puja: Kolkata Police

Cops said the initial plan to carry out trials for two days was junked last Saturday night due to VIP movement in the area on Sunday. "A few issues cropped up, which we will have to resolve during the second trial," an officer said.
"We wanted a traffic post at Majherpara. The pole has been set up after Metro said it will foot the expenses," said a police source. The trials have been planned between Nov 14-16 and Nov 21-23. It has been planned to shut both flanks of EM Bypass— the northbound flank from midnight till 4 am and the southbound flank between 2 am and 4 am. Vehicles will take the new road near Captain Bhery to reach Majherpara, as per the plan.
