Principal enters college with HC order, harassed on campus
Times of India | 19 September 2025Bhattacharya faced harassment while entering campus and her car was stopped by the security staff. There were two constables at the gate who also stopped her from entering.
She wrote to Shakespeare Sarani PS, asking why she was stopped despite a court order. The HC gave a stay order for eight weeks on the suspension. Bhattacharya said, "I anticipated the block but why were cops so proactive in stopping me?"
The matter went to the division bench, which will likely be heard on Friday. Mantoo Das, an assistant professor, filed a cop complaint against her for mental harassment. Bhattacharya denied the claims. tnn
