  • Nabadwip (Nadia): A 35-year-old BJP worker was allegedly beaten to death in the temple town of Prachin Mayapur in Nadia's Nabadwip early on Thursday, reports Ashis Poddar.

    Victim Sanjay Bhowmik's sister said his brother was attacked by Trinamool workers with iron rods after he tried to stop a quarrel during Vishwakarma Puja celebrations when two groups drinking at a local club clashed.

    TMC dismissed the charges. Police have started a case.
