Judges distribute wheelchairs, hail social inclusion efforts

Kolkata: Supreme Court judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, along with Calcutta High Court judge Justice LS Jamir and Gauhati High Court's senior judge Justice Michael Zothankhuma, attended a pre-puja social inclusion programme on Saturday.
In the event was organised by the 14 Pally Udayan Sangha Entally Durga puja committee, they appreciated the efforts of the organisers, with Justice Bhuyan particularly applauding the concept of handing over wheelchairs to specially abled children to bring mobility to their lives.
Biswajit Deb, advocate general of Mizoram, who is the president of the organisation, said that during the programme, they handed over 25 wheelchairs and also gave 15 laptops to meritorious students who were financially challenged. The judges also handed over five BiPAP machines to children who is suffering from respiratory distress to bring a little comfort to their lives, especially during the time of puja.
