• Tiny tots captivate audience with talent show

  • The tiny tots of play group preparatory at Delhi Public School (Joka), South Kolkata, participated in a cultural extravaganza “Samanvyay” that celebrated the beautiful cultural harmony of India at the school auditorium. Principal of the school Writuparna Chatterjee lighted the lamp and addressed the gathering. She mentioned about the grand festivities of Bengal and asked the parents to sensitise their wards regarding how the artisans work hard and put their soul to design the idols and the pandals.

    The program commenced with a melodious rendition by the students of classes Nursery and Preparatory reciting a poem and Durga shloka. It was followed by the songs ‘Bulbul Pakhi’ and ‘Rupang Dehi’.

    Students of Nursery danced gracefully to the songs highlighting different states of India – ‘My name is Madhavi’, followed by ‘Pranavalaya’ – which was a piece dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi.

    The coordinator of junior school, Suravi Banerjee extended the vote of thanks and the event came to an end with the national anthem echoing in the school auditorium.
