Shop owner found dead in temple
Times of India | 5 October 2025Maji used to work as a mechanic at factories before opening his shop.
He lived alone. Locals said he would at time, stay at the temple, where his body was found.
A senior officer from the Howrah City Police said Maji was found bleeding from his ears and the back of his head. Cops suspect his head was bludgeoned with a heavy object. A sniffer dog was brought in. Forensic experts are expected to collect samples from the site shortly. No CCTV camera was installed at the temple, cops said.
