Abhishek slams BJP after Tripura party office attack, TMC to send team
Times of India | 8 October 2025on Tuesday said it was sending a team to Tripura after the HQ of its Tripura unit in Agartala was allegedly attacked by members of the
's youth wing. The incident took place a day after the attack on BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Sankar Ghosh in north Bengal.
"BJP Yuva Morcha members damaged some furniture and the signboard at the party office," said Tripura TMC president Santanu Saha. He said TMC had informed the local police station about the possibility of an attack, but no action had been taken.
The TMC delegation will comprise MPs Pratima Mondal, Sushmita Dev and Saayoni Ghosh, Bengal minister Birbaha Hansda, and party netas Kunal Ghosh and Sudip Raha.

said on X: "Unable to defeat TMC at ballot box in Bengal, BJP has unleashed its full machinery to provoke violence in states where they hold power. Their karyakartas attacked and ransacked our party office in Tripura, under the watchful eyes of the police, laying bare their vindictive mindset." He added: "In Tripura, our netas and workers have faced repeated assaults. In 2021, my convoy in Tripura was vandalised by BJP-hired goons.
