TMC holds hold Bijoya Sammilani in 10 districts
The Statesman | 8 October 2025Senior party leaders and workers met party’s chairperson Mamata Banerjee and national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee to exchange pleasantries after the Durga Puja. It was then decided that Bijoya Sammilani will be held in every district to build contact with people.
Today’s Bijoya Sammilani was held in the districts South Dinajpur, Bankura, South 24-Parganas, North 24-Parganas, Malda North and Purba Bardhaman. In South and North 24-Parganas and Malda north, two meetings were held.
Party leaders of the districts were present at the meetings where important persons of the area were invited. The party is leaving no stone unturned to ensure victory of the candidates. Miss Banerjee has asked the leaders to bury hatchets and work together. She has made it clear that no complacency on the part of the leaders will be tolerated.
Mr Banerjee said the party leaders should not lobby for any candidate. They will have to support the candidates who will be nominated by the party. The workers who are effective will be rewarded while the idle ones will be pulled up. They will have to work for the entire constituency and not their own area.
