Murmu attack: HC says no to central agency probe

Hearing a plea to transfer the probe, Justice Shampa Dutt (Paul) stated, "It is not possible to transfer the investigation at this stage." She instead directed the police to submit the case diary and a confidential report before the regular bench on Oct 27.
Advocate general Kishore Datta informed the court that a similar petition requesting a probe by CBI and NIA was pending. Counsel for the petitioner said the two petitioners were different.
