TMC slams BJP for silence on assault of woman in Delhi’s SA University
The Statesman | 15 October 2025The security guard of the university along with a staff and two students had assaulted the student inside the university campus.
Trinamul Congress leaders alleged that the BJP, which is so vocal when any incident takes place in Bengal, is silent on the issue. The National Women’s Commission is also keeping mum. It is astonishing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who speaks endlessly on Nari Shakti has not said a single word on the matter.
Trinamul Congress in its X handle wrote: “It is astonishing how promptly the @BJP4India outrage machinery activates when tragedy strikes Bengal. But when the horror upholds right under their nose in Delhi, the national capital governed by their own regime, silence obviously takes over.”
The party further wrote further on X: “What explains this selective outrage? What stops @NCWINdia from taking suo motu cognizance this time? What stops @NarendraModi who speaks endlessly of Nari Shakti, from addressing the rot within his own backyard?
