• Drive to fight malnutrition in Krishnanagar

  • Kolkata: The Krishnanagar Police has launched a community outreach programme to combat malnutrition in remote villages under its jurisdiction. Spearheaded by SP Amarnath K and ASP Uttam Ghosh, the initiative aims to provide nutritious food to those in need, reports Dwaipayan Ghosh.

    Partnering with medical professionals, Krishnanagar Police has conducted health camps in areas under Palashipara, Karimpur, and Thanarpara police stations. These camps have already diagnosed about 150 villagers with malnutrition. Police will supply nutritious food to underserved groups throughout the year. Economically disadvantaged families will receive health cards, and food will be delivered to their homes.
