• Defence ministry announces job fair for ex-servicemen in city

  • The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) under the defence ministry, is organizing a job fair for ex-servicemen (ESM) on 29 October, starting from 7.00 a.m, at Suryodaya Auditorium, Vijay Durg (Fort William), Kolkata.

    This initiative aims to provide a platform for former armed forces personnel to explore second career opportunities in the civilian workforce. Industry employers from across sectors will have the opportunity to engage with a pool of highly skilled, disciplined, and experienced professionals, suitable for roles in leadership, technical trades, security services, engineering, hospitality, administration, and more.

    Employers will benefit from free registration, job postings, stall allotment, and access to resumes. Ex-servicemen attending the fair are required to carry their ESM I-Card and five copies of their resume or bio-data.

    This job fair is conducted in collaboration with ESMHire. Registration is now open at www.esmhire.com.
