Kolkata: A Belgachhia Road resident, Sehnaaz Parvin (38), was killed when the auto she was travelling by overturned on Manmatha Nath Dutta Road in Cossipore around 3.25 pm on Thursday.
Parvin was taken to RG Kar with multiple injuries and was declared dead there.
Police took the driver, operating on the Paikpara-Shyampbazar route, to the Tala PS for questioning. The driver reportedly told police he had lost control of the vehicle. Police are ascertaining whether it was due to mechanical failure, the drivers' error or any other factor. tnn
