Howrah civic body chief quits for ‘personal reasons’
Times of India | 27 October 2025A few days back the HMC vice chairperson Saikat Chowdhury also resigned. Chakraborty, who chaired HMC meetings even on Sunday, later refused to elaborate saying it was a personal decision and he will continue to as a normal Trinamool party worker. It is still unclear whether his resignation has been accepted.
