Woman in trauma after gun attack by former BF

The woman moved to Bengaluru for work in 2022 and got into a relationship with Bhardwaj, the owner of an event management company. The two moved in together the same year. Bhardwaj, hailing from Bihar, was already married; a fact that came to light later.
Police said this revelation led to a breakup. When the woman attempted to sever ties, Bhardwaj attacked her with a chopper in 2023, leaving her with head injuries that required 32 stitches.
The victim filed an FIR with Bangalore police and Bhardwaj was arrested.
After Bhardwaj was released, he began harassing the victim again. Bhardwaj began pressuring her to marry him despite her refusal. The situation escalated when Bhardwaj travelled to Kolkata to visit her at her family home in Bijoygarh. On Monday, Bhardwaj allegedly fired a shot at her residence. Though the bullet got lodged in the grill, it has left everyone shaken.
