Kolkata: Two days after the detective department arrested the two accused, Shaktikant Behra and Santosh Behra, both plastic flower traders from Dhenkanal in Odisha, allegedly involved in the murder of 26-year-old Rahul Lal on Oct 22 from a hotel in the Park Street area, the police moved court to carry out the test identification parade of both accused.
On Friday, the court finalised the TIP date for Nov 3, and it will be the hotel staff who will be identifying them.
"The TIP is an important part of evidence. We are also investigating if they were helped by anyone to flee the city on Oct 22," said an officer. Police have claimed that Lal planned to rob his murderers inside the hotel room and even held Shaktikant, Santosh at knifepoint. Lal died when the two accused reportedly tried to resist him.
