Two class 9 students arrested for raping minor tuition-mate in Birbhum

Suri: Two minor boys were arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping a minor girl at a coaching centre in the Suri police station area of Birbhum. All three are class 9 students and tuition batchmates.
According to the complaint by the girl's parents on Friday, the 14-year-old girl went to the coaching centre an hour before the scheduled time after the two accused informed her over the phone that their teacher had asked them to come earlier. When she arrived at the tutor's house, only her two batchmates were there and they raped her.
The girl broke down in tears on her return that night and told her parents that two classmates had falsely called her and raped her at the coaching centre.
Based on the complaint, Suri police arrested the boys and produced them before the Juvenile Justice Board on Saturday. Birbhum SP Amandeep said: "Our officers took action on the basis of a complaint by the girl's guardian."
Police said the minor's medical examination has been done and her confidential statement would be recorded on Monday. Charges under Sections 4 and 6 of the
