BJP MP meets local leaders in Darjeeling, discusses poll preparedness

Member of Parliament and former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb held a meeting with the Darjeeling district BJP committee’s organisational leaders on Saturday in Darjeeling town, as part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista participated in the meeting, which was attended by district leaders and karyakartas. The discussions focused on strengthening the organisation and planning outreach activities ahead of the elections.
Mr Bista said that Mr Deb appreciated the “exemplary dedication” of BJP workers from the Darjeeling region, particularly their efforts in providing relief during the recent devastating landslides. “Their commitment reflects the true spirit of Seva Bhav—standing shoulder to shoulder with people, from tea gardens to remote villages, and serving with compassion and humility,” Mr. Bista said.
