• CM praises NDITA earning top spot in national ranking

  • Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed happiness over the top spot being attained by Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA – Sector V) for its urban management.

    In a post on X handle, Miss Banerjee wrote: “A proud moment for West Bengal and its urban management. Out Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NITA-Sector V), West Bengal has secured a top rank in the best Urban Local Body category at the 6th National Water Awards 2024, conferred by the Ministry of Jal Shakti Government of India for outstanding water resources conservation and management.

    “This recognition is testament to our commitment towards sustainable water management and urban resilience. Heartiest congratulations to all those who made this possible and all stakeholders”.

    Earlier, the ministry of Jal Shakti and department of water resources in a letter to the state government informed that Nabadiganta industrial Township (NDITA) West Bengal secured third rank (joint winner) in Best Urban Local Body category. And Army Public school, Kolkata, ranked first (joint winner) in Best School or College category.
