The Airports Authority of India (AAI) hosted a symbolic Cake Mixing Ceremony at the Airport Travel Club Lounge on Thursday, marking the onset of the holiday season and spreading cheer among passengers and guests. The age-old tradition of cake mixing — an integral prelude to Christmas festivities — brought together airport officials, lounge representatives, and travellers in a spirited display of camaraderie.
Dried fruits, nuts, and aromatic spices were mixed with joy and laughter, symbolising unity, happiness, and the excitement of celebrations ahead. Vikram Singh, Airport Director, NSCBI Airport lauded the initiative, noting that such events not only enrich the travel experience but also infuse a sense of warmth and belonging within the airport community. With live music, vibrant décor, and festive aromas filling the air, the event turned into a moment of shared joy — transforming a transit space into a hub of seasonal celebration.
