The Chief Electoral Office (CEO) of West Bengal has expressed concern over the slow distribution of enumeration forms (ER forms) in 40 Assembly constituencies. Despite a statewide average of 88.8% ER form distribution, these 40 constituencies have lagged behind with rates below 75%.

The low-distribution constituencies scattered across the state include: Siliguri, Kaliaganj, Raiganj, Tapan, Alipurduar, Dubrajpur, Siuri, and Kharagpur Sadar, Jagaddal, Naihati, Khardaha, Panihati, Rajarhat New Town, Rajarhat Gopalpur, Bidhannagar, Bally, Howrah Uttar, Howrah Dakshin, Baruipur Purba, Baruipur Paschim, Sonarpur Dakshin, Kasba, Jadavpur, Sonarpur Uttar, Tollygunge, Behala Purba, Behala Paschim, Maheshtala, Metiaburuz, Kolkata Port, Beleghata, Jorasanko, and Kashipur Belgachia, Palashipara and Ranaghat Uttar Purba, Purulia: Jaypur.
However, the CEO is confident that the first phase of form distribution will be completed by next Thursday.
