Woman loses gold chain to Bypass snatchers, 2 held

Kolkata: A woman, Reena Das, allegedly lost her gold chain to bike-borne snatchers on Sunday morning while returning from a morning walk near the Metropolitan housing complex off E M Bypass.
Within 10 hours of the incident, two of the accused — Sheikh Sabir and Mohammad Daulat alias Rohit — were arrested from the Muslim Camp area in Tangra, police said. The stolen chain was also recovered.
Police said three men attacked Das and fled with her chain. A snatching-prevention team of Kolkata Police's detective department examined CCTV footage from the area and traced the duo. Cops are searching for the third accused. tnn
