Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Kalyan Banerjee, who has courted controversy for his allegation charging Governor CV Ananda Bose with storing arms and ammunition and supplying BJP leaders to attack the TMC, fired a fresh salvo accusing the governor of “incompetency in Parliamentary democracy” and turning into a “stooge of BJP”.
“Does anyone call police and bomb squad for searching explosives and pistol,” Banerjee commented after the Governor reopened Raj Bhavan today and allowed the sniffer dog, bomb squad, Kolkata Police and Central armed forces to make combing operation in the premises of gubernatorial office in the heart of the city of central Kolkata.
Banerjee on Saturday sparked controversy accusing the Governor of “storing weapons and bombs in Raj Bhavan and providing those to BJP to attack the TMC”, which was denied by Governor Bose who opened the gubernatorial office on Sunday for public and journos for scrutiny.
Banerjee alleged the governor misused his constitutional post and had turned into a stooge for BJP and described the governor’s latest stance as “childish”.
