A section of the SSC candidates moved Calcutta High court on Monday allegedly over the presence of tainted candidates in the recently-published SSC list of candidates for interviews.
The discontent is over an alleged flip-flop of the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) to deny the new candidates from appearing in interviews.
The petition was moved in the court of Justice Amrita Sinha of Calcutta High Court, which is likely to hear the prayer of a section of the candidates on Wednesday.
The petitioners alleged that several tainted candidates, despite the Supreme Court bar on them, had found their names on the list of candidates for interviews. They also allege that the SSC also preferred the experienced primary teachers, by awarding an additional 10 numbers for experience, over the fresh candidates.
